What Is Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as nose surgery, is a surgical procedure aimed at reshaping and restructuring the nose to achieve a more aesthetic and balanced appearance.
This procedure is typically performed to refine the nasal tip, smooth the nasal bridge (dorsal hump), or alter the overall shape of the nose to better fit the patient’s face.

We consult with our patients to plan the required treatment process tailored to their specific needs.
Anesthesia
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and sedation, or more frequently, under general anesthesia for patient comfort.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
01. What is Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery)?
02. How is Rhinoplasty Performed?
Anesthesia
Rhinoplasty is performed under local anesthesia and sedation, or more commonly under general anesthesia, depending on the complexity of the surgery and the surgeon’s preferences. The procedure typically lasts about 1–2 hours. However, it may take longer in complex cases.
Procedure
During surgery, the nasal skin is separated from its underlying support—composed of bone and cartilage—and reshaped to the desired form. Finally, the skin is redistributed over this new support. Generally, the surgeon performs this procedure through the nose, making small incisions inside the nostrils. However, in some cases, particularly for more complex cases, the surgeon may opt for open rhinoplasty.
Final
Once the surgery is complete, the incisions are closed, and a cast or splint is applied to help the nose maintain its new shape. Additionally, nasal packing is placed in both nostrils to prevent bleeding and stabilize the nasal septum.
03. What to Consider After Rhinoplasty Surgery?
On the first day (except when showering), you should lie down with your head elevated.
Most bruising and swelling will completely subside within about 2 weeks.
Mild nosebleeds are normal for the first few days.
You should avoid blowing your nose forcefully for several months.
You should avoid strenuous activities for several weeks.
04. What is Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)?
This surgical procedure not only makes the face look much younger and more vibrant but also helps widen the field of vision in some individuals.
05. Who is a Good Candidate for Blepharoplasty?
However, generally speaking, people over the age of 40 tend to opt for this procedure. The results of blepharoplasty are typically long-lasting and stable, lasting approximately 10 to 15 years. However, there is a possibility that the eyelid skin may sag again over time, and this is completely normal.
