1. Who we are

This website is operated by Op. Dr. Ali Oğuz Demir — Rhinoplasty & ENT Surgery (“we”, “the clinic”).

Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) we act as the data controller. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies to you as an international patient, we act as controller within the meaning of Article 4(7).

2. What we collect

Through the patient feedback and complaint form: your name (optional), your e-mail address, your phone or WhatsApp number (optional), the date of your visit or surgery (optional), the subject of your feedback, the message you write, an optional satisfaction rating, and your contact preference.

Through the appointment and contact forms: your name, your contact details and the message you send us.

Automatically: your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and website analytics.

Anything you choose to write about your treatment, diagnosis or physical condition is health data — a special category of personal data. You decide how much of it to share. The form does not require any of it.

3. Why we use it

• To read, assess and respond to your feedback or complaint
• To improve the quality of our clinical and administrative service
• To contact you, if you asked us to
• To answer appointment and information requests
• To keep this website secure and functioning

We do not use form submissions for marketing, and we do not publish them on this website or anywhere else.

4. Our legal basis

For ordinary personal data: your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5; GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website.

For health-related information you choose to share: your explicit consent only (KVKK Art. 6/2; GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). You may withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.

5. Who sees it

Your submission is read by our patient care team. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Our hosting provider and our e-mail provider process the data on our behalf as service providers, under confidentiality obligations. The feedback form is not connected to any third-party marketing, analytics or automation service.

Where we are legally obliged to do so, we may disclose data to competent public authorities.

6. How long we keep it

• Feedback and complaint submissions: 12 months from receipt, then deleted
• Appointment and contact enquiries: 12 months
• Clinical records created during treatment: for the period required by Turkish health legislation
• Cookie and analytics data: for the retention period of the relevant analytics service

7. Your rights

Under KVKK Article 11 and, where it applies to you, GDPR Articles 15–22, you may ask us to:

• confirm whether we process your personal data, and give you a copy
• correct data that is incomplete or inaccurate
• delete or destroy your data
• restrict or object to our processing of it
• honour the withdrawal of a consent you gave earlier
• tell you which third parties your data has been transferred to
• provide your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, write to info@alioguzdemir.com from the address you used, or send a signed written application to Kültür Mahallesi, 1383. Sokak No: 3, Ertem Apartmanı, Floor 1, Flat 2, Alsancak, 35100 Konak/İzmir, Türkiye. We respond within 30 days at the latest, and free of charge unless the request is manifestly excessive.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu) or, if you are in the EU or the UK, with your local supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

This website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

9. Security

Submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored on access-restricted systems. Only staff who need the data in order to respond to you can see it.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
